Please Stop Driving “Drunk”

I ran across this little tidbit today on NYTimes.com.  It’s a short (3 minute) video piece that discusses the dangers of attempting to multi-task while driving and what people are (and aren’t) doing about it. Research shows that people who drive while using their phone are 4 times more likely to cause a accident, as likely as someone with a .o8 blood alcohol level. Yikes. Oh, and people know its wrong and dangerous… and they don’t care. If you are interested in reading more about this after you watch the video, here is a link to the accompanying artical. Enjoy…

I like the guy who says he’s more likely to be driving drunk than driving while talking on his cell phone. Ummm… that’s not any better dude! That did make me laugh though, so I like him. Also, that blonde lady (about half way through the video) who’s talking about the similarities of talking on the phone and driving drunk… she looks like she’d know, I’m pretty sure she’s wasted. Stay safe out there kids! Watch out for drunk…… er………. drivers on their phones!
